Round about our 3rd/4th week of being official Graphic Design students at around the 3rd/4th week, we were given yet another fresh and exciting new brief to feast our brains on! This was titled What is the Colour : Red / Green / Yellow/ Lilac and Blue. As From the previous section on Colour theory and practice, the colour I was destined to was Yellow, therefore my brief would read 'What is the Colour Yellow.'
The main challenge of the brief was to visually represent our colour.
Deliverables : 10 150mm x 150mm resolutions that are either a set or series.
After doing some quick research into my colour and the things that are associated with it, I started to generate a few ideas; a few concepts I looked into and moved on from include,
'Yellow is the new Black', ' Yellow is the worst colour ever' but eventually settled with
'Yellow is Life' I found this period quite difficult as it was hard to generate a variety of ideas that would work well as a format of 10 outcomes.
I decided on the concept of 'Yellow is life' because I really liked the whole idea of how I could show a life using a series of 10 pieces, acting like a film strip. This was something I haven't done before and therefore didn't want to develop 10 individual pieces.
